Ohms?
Hey guys, it's been a while since I was here. Got a question about ohms. I have the biketronics 7.1 speakers and they are 4 ohms. I want a pair of 6x9's and I didn't know if I stick with the same ohm or lower or what. My amp is the biketronics 4180.
P.S., What model 6x9 is the best from pioneer?

In a nutshell ohm is usually a concern when paralleling speakers on the same channel as the ohms are basically cut in half. 2 four ohm speakers on the same channel become a 2 ohm load. If u had 2 two ohm speakers on the same channel it would be a one ohm load and since there r not many 1 ohm stable amps, that amp would fry in time.
If ur current set up does not and will not involve wiring speakers in parallel aka the speaks ur adding are on their own channel, it just does not matter as those Pioneer Pros at 4 ohm will be perfect with the 4180.
Pioneer Pro TS 6900.

Thanks for the help Tailwind. My bike is no longer my bike. I sold it as I didn't ride it much. Wasn't going to just give the stereo away so I kept it and I'm putting it on my new Polaris Ranger. Y'all guys keep the shiney side up!
