After posting in the touring section about the issues I am having with my HK in my 2011 limited ( flhtk ) and asking for advice for an aftermarket replacement, it was suggested I post over here to where the GURUs hang out.

Over time the mother board often vibrates something loose causing intermitting problems. What does the rest of your audio system consist of? Amp? Speakers? Being a limited is a cb in play?
If you are wanting to keep the cb and all stock then you can send the HU to Iron Cross for thm to repair/rebuild your currant unit. They do superb work and their CS is outstanding.
If you are ready to upgrade the system and by that I mean hu and amp then that is another story. I would not put in an aftermarket HU without upgrading the whole system but it can be done. That's just me though.
