Polk MM652 TP

Polk MM652 TP
Is there anything that can be trimmed inside the pod? I notice some structural fin near the top that I think may be causing a clearance issue.
This isn't looking good
Anyone have any helpful pointers for installing the Polk MM652's in the TP pods on a Rushmore bike? The only way I can get clearance for the speaker to sit flush is with the included Polk spacers (which, if used will need some trimming of the unused tabs) and the speakers 180 degrees upside down. Even with things set that way, I'm using BOOM speaker grilles and not having luck with the grilles sitting flush against the TP. Right now there will be a pretty serious gap and it looks stupid. If I can find a way to NOT use the spacers, it will look quite a bit better but still not perfect. I've already explored the option of recessing the mounting flange on the speaker to accommodate the injection molded screw bosses on the BOOM grilles, but if I do that, then the tweeter will hit the grill. There's less than 1/8" clearance there now. I'm stuck. Any help is appreciated!! Maybe just need to drink a beer and revisit it tomorrow morning?? Anyone know of another speaker that would be decently weather resistant and still handle as much power as the Polk? I'm putting MMATS pa601cx up front and driving all four with a Focal FDP. This is all going in my 2015 Ultra Limited. Thanks in advance for any help!
