Default New head unit

I know I'm going to get bashed for this, but here goes noting. I want to install an alpine HU in my 2012 Ultra Limited, it has the Boom system already. I want Bluetooth. I'm concerned about water ruining the HU in the rain or even washing the bike. Is there something to keep water out of a an aftermarket radio? I'm guessing the HD radio is sealed somehow because I've hit it with a pressure washer with no issues.

Default Here ya go.

You can get a cover. I have read some guys carry a couple they just press on. Just in case there in a storm. $15 to $28. Best Buy, Cruuchfield, Ebay just about anybody who sells HU's sells these.

Biketronics does a great job with the moisture protection stuff. Just don't fire hose the cockpit regardless of what cover u use.

Unless you are washing the wheels keep the pressure washer in the garage. Two things that will help are a cover on the radio chassis ( like contact paper and the face plate cover. 3 years in Seattle 6-8k a year and my kenwood 998 still works fine.
