WHIM Install
I recently upgraded my 2015 Ultra Classic Boom Box with the WHIM Module. It went well and my Harley dealer activated it for me.. The HD/Sena 20S EVO (HD Branded) headset installed and configured ok.. I put the 20S in a new modular full helmet and kept my wired headset in my 3/4 helmet. I like the 3/4 when riding events etc. Here is my problem. It seems my wired headset no longer works when I plug it in.. To be more specific the headset works and I can hear ok but the microphone stopped working. Does anyone have a similar setup that can test to see if the wired headset stops working? Does installation of the WHIM disable the wire jack?
Thanks

Ugh that sucks.. I was hoping to keep my wired connection for use with my 3/4 helmet for when I ride in smaller events and use my full helmet for longer rides and trips. It's too bad since I was not looking to use both at the same time but instead one or the other. Not to mention it would be nice to use it with an occasional passenger instead of buying another 20s.. it would be interesting if that is a software modification they could to do to get either or to work?
I wonder also if I could just buy the helmet side without the unit and then just move the same unit from helmet to helmet?
Thanks

I'm sure this is not what you want to hear but they are correct. Once you activate the WHIM with the Bluetooth your wired headsets are cut off. Your best bet is to pick up a second mount for your second helmet and just transfer the Sena back and forth.
