Sony MEX-M70BT App Remote Tuning
So after getting my parts and pieces in I've been reading the two recent threads about tuning and trying some things I'm learning about.
Previously I asked for advice about setting crossovers and so on thinking that the Sony App Remote allowed me to set separate crossover frequencies using the app. I'm on my phone and can't post pics, but after looking again at the manual and the app I'm seeing that the adjust has nothing to do with crossover frequencies at all but has to do with "position", customizing the sound for the number of people in a car and where they are sitting.
So, I'm back to using the head unit setting, which I have set for my Mmats 601.4cx in the fairing and 601.4 in the lowers at HPF 100.
That's the only setting on the head unit and it's for both the front and rear channels. Since the fronts go to a PA RZ4.2000d amp with no crossovers that works.
For the lids with the DD VO6x9s running off the rear channels to an NVX VADM4 amp bridged that has crossovers - I'm.going to set it at HP, 80 and go from there.
Does that sound right?
I'm aggravated that I went for so long thinking that was a crossover setting on the app. There's a thread here that someone guessed at what it was. The manual has very little information at all about what the position adjustment does.

More
After looking all day online for more information about the "position" setting I finally just now.found a YouTube video explaining it.
Interestingly Sony calls it "time alignment based on seating poaition." Until today I had never heard of time alignment until reading about it here in one of the new tuning thread.
At least I have firm confirmation that its not a crossover setting. It should be much simpler.now to work only have one setting on the amp to adjust for the rears.
