Default Arc moto 609.4 and spkr setup help

Hey everyone im new to setting audio up.
My set up will be a Sony dsx ms60 hu, arc moto 600.4 amp, hertz sv165 in fairing, hertz sv 165 in lowers and 2 sets of tweets ( might only use 1 set)

First question is should i have a local shop hook everything up or should i try myself?

Secondly, how should i go about setting it up to the amp for best sound

Thanks in advanced

I always recommend taking it to a professional to to a major job. However if you do choose to do it your self take your time and make sure all connections are good. As far as the amp settings go.

If you don't have the proper meters you can use the "old school" method.
With the gain set all the way down on the amp turn your head unit up to three quarter volume. Set your equalizer settings on your head unit to your preference. Slowly increase the gain until you hear distortion and then back off a little. Your frequency settings should be roughly at the 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock position on the ****. That is a ballpark setting.

Would love to, just don't feel confident doing it by myself. Now if only if someone who knew audio lived close to me, that would be awesome

Hell all I can do is plug shix in and thanks to this group they perpetually show me how to plug the right product in and in the right locations.

With your amp choice it's really simply.

You can either put one set of tweets with one set if svs (using a crossover or a very good quality capacitor) on the front channels of the amp and wire the second set of svs and the second set of tweets the same way on the rear.

The arc gives the same amount of power whether it's wired at 2 ohm or 4 ohm.

150w x 4 at 4 ohm
150w x 4 at 2 ohm

Industrial strength velcro to the top of the head unit is a good choice or tape. I prefer velcro to tape so I can make adjustments as needed without replacing tape every time.

You can pick it up cheap at lowes or home depot
