Default Another Fm reception thread

I didn’t want to try and cram my SS PN4.1000D under the batwing. Mounted it to the wall of my tourpak. As expected radio reception is terrible. Just wondering if I put a hidden antenna in the fairing will the reception clear up since the amp is at the other end of the bike? Thanks in advance.

Well I tried the Harley hidden antenna. Made no difference ☹️. If anyone wants to put their antenna in the fairing, it’s for sale in the audio classifieds.

Most of the lower end class "d" amps will interfere to some degree. The JL's, some Alpine, Sd's all do well for radio reception.

Thanks Juice, I’m going to watch for a deal on on a better amp. In the mean time I’ll enjoy 8 gig on a thumb drive and pandora

I heard that it did well,I have not tried that amp personally. Also, the Rushmore bikes seem to be less prone to interference than the 2013 and down.

I didn't get decent reception on my 2010 Ultra until I went with a full length steel whip antenna and an Arc Moto 600.4 amp. I tried upgrading the antenna first and it made a tiny bit of an improvement but the Arc amp made a bigger improvement.
