So, it appears I owe a round of apologies to.my brother @Tailwind I went out and lowered the gains on all three amps, and miraculously, 90% of the hum went away. I checked it with the engine on and it is almost inaudible below 10 on the volume and completely inaudible above 10. I also copied some of @FrenchieM wiring tactics, and the fairing went on in a breeze. I have a few more clean up plans next week, but for now I get to eat dirt for not following instructions.

Good to hear...

Trust me when I tell you, the regulars will not steer you in the wrong direction. They may not have all the answers, to all the problems, all of the time. They will always take your best interest into account. This is a great community..

I too have been reluctant to follow advice given to me from members here, and regretted it. Turns out several people here really do know what they are talking about. I listen better now, or at least I hope I do. What I thought I knew from previous experience just doesn't translate to open air audio.

Damn good stuff GS!!!

Thanks for the shout out brother. Will take u up on the beer or soda but I will get the next 6 rounds!!!

Luv this shix!!! Everything I have learned has been from going down really deep rabbit holes but mainly the awesome guidance, exchanges or personal interactions with our amazing brothers and sisters on this forum. Great damn folks that roll up their sleeves and selflessly share their knowledge & personal experiences / trials / errors expecting nothing in return, other that helping others accomplish their personal audio goals.
This sled audio industry has come a very long way in a short amount of time and that is a direct result of ALL of us sharing what we learn each and every day as there will always be a better way, or better product or better build strategy. Thanks to ALL that contribute!!!! This is damn fun shix!!!!

Agreed! I will also add that these Pioneers, at 200 watts, seem to sound just as good, if not better than the Hertz. Don't get me wrong, I love Hertz, but the full range adds a while new layer to the fill of the fronts.
