I have been rounding up stuff for my 2013 Electra Glide Classic. This is the Classic so it has no CB or rear speakers in the Tour Pac. I also don't run with the Tour Pac. I currently have a Hog tunes amp and fairing speakers that I am removing. I have a Stinger SPX 700X4 amp, Mmats PA 601 CX speakers and WDX Moto G1 speakers. I also have the EBay lowers with the speaker pods. I plan to keep the Harley head unit and send it to Iron Cross for the pre-amp outputs and blue tooth. At a later date I plan to put speaker lids on the saddle bags. I don't have any of the RCA leads, amp power wiring, speaker adapters or any other items that may be needed. I also am not sure if I need a DSP and if so what kind? I am also not sure if I put the Mmats in the fairing and G1's in the lowers or opposite? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Why are you stuck on the Harley head unit. The moto G1's are way to bright if you cant get control of them. You could get a Marine deck with built in DSP, thumb controls and install kit and come out about the sames as a mod'd HK deck. That would give you bluetooth and USB and superior sound,

Main reason is my Harley GPS and interface that gives prompts through the speakers. I am also concerned with water issues as I ride a lot and get caught in the rain quite often. If I could get my GPS to work properly I would consider the aftermarket head unit and I guess I could use the aftermarket rain cover that snaps in the hole.
I'd have to agree, go with aftermarket HU for same price. The Aquatic radios are decent and marine. Complete plug and play. The marine Sony and Kenwood HU are a better option and you could get a radio cover if worried. You will get much better sound out of a aftermarket HU. And Fireball is correct, those DB motos are really bright and you will want an aftermarket HU to tame those down. And put those in your lowers. And NO you do not need a DSP.
You will need power and ground wires (8 gauge, 6 feet each), set of RCA's, battery terminal connectors, 60 amp fuse, speaker wire and 5.25 to 6.5 speaker adapter.
This one will work just fine marine grade. It has a built in DSP the moto's cross them at 100hz and-18 slope that is a good starting point. You can sell you old HU and gps and it will more than pay for the Kenwood and install kit.
