Current situation is this: 2017 RGS Stock HU, MMats 601cx's in the fairing and lowers powered by the Stinger 700/4. Rockford Fosgate lid kit powered by the NVX VADM4 bridged.
I think it sounds great but could use a little more low end. I thought of going to the MMats PA690cx to match the the others but after looking at the specs it doesn't look favorable for lower end performance. I'm also considering the Hertz MPX690.3 or the Diamond Audio MS69CX. Thought and suggestions please.

I have the 690's in my bag lids and they do have some good bass, but of course is lost at speeds over 30 or so. I still like them though and it feels like im wrapped in a bubble of sound even at city speeds for the most part.

I'm going to have to try those mmats 690cx as the hertz 690 in my bags thump.

i did compare them side to side, dsp tuned, the mmats got louder and sounded better at speed, installed them on my buddy's 06 RG and there are no issues hearing them at least up to 80 mph. I've got no experience with the 7x10 so i cant comment on that. the other nice thing about the Mmats is the weather treatment and it works, no wet weather issues.

If ur not looking to capture a bunch from the rear stage at speed and are looking for more of a bar hop & lower end u might try those sub/mid hybrids. Not many folks using them but the guys that are seem to like them.

I have the mmats in my lids now and they sound better than the mpx I now have sitting on the shelf. The mmats are also coming out in leu of a set of compression drivers. I have had a number of different 6x9's in my lids and will tell you as mentioned above, the lows get lost in the wind at speed. The midrange in the mmats have a better presence at speed than the others I have had and being water repellent makes them a better choice than the mpx.

Where do you have them crossed and how much power are they getting currently?
