Default Massive audio

Hi Guys,

Hoping to get a bit of guidance as I have searched and searched for some information but more confused than anything.
Want to upgrade my system on my 2011 Street glide with lowers.
Rockford Fosgate head unit and the rockford harely prime amp and speaker kit.
It does not sound good at all.

Looking and the following:
Keep the head unit and change amp for.
NVX AVDM4 amp or Massive BLX4 as they fit in faring and are on sale for less then $200
Need speaker recommendations for the fairing and lowers. I know the MMats are a speaker of choice but has anyone tried the Massive PX series or anything from Kicker?
I would like to keep the price under $1000 if possible.

Thanks in advance.

It is a coincidence this thread came up.

I have a couple of the Massive BLX4 sitting on the bench. I did some testing on one and it came up short on the advertised output power power both stereo and bridged at a testing voltage of 14.6 volts.

So with curiosity getting the best of me I opened up a second amp and repeated the testing. Low and behold the results of the second amp were a little higher output with slightly lower DC input voltage but still quite a bit short of advertised.

The testing equipment used
14.6 volt DC sorce
SMD DD1
Audio Control DM-RTA
4 ohm dummy load

I am not the only person with a massive amp that is having a output power issue.
I will be retesting these amps soon and will post actual output voltage both stereo and bridged.
