Default Amp settings

Got my fairing opened up to paint the inner and was wondering what others have their amp set at. It's a DD d4 amp running Arc Moto 602 speakers and a Sony HU. TIA

There is no one, or magic setting - unless you have the proper equipment I would recommend a simple means: with the bike running, setting your amp gains all the way down, turn the headhunt volume to about 80% max, play a song you like & start to slowly turn up the gains till you get distortion, once you get distortion back off just a hair

HPF this is where it gets tricky the Freq. is key. If you cross at 80hz the gain will be lower than if you cross at 100hz. I have never had those speakers but you need to set the vross overs first before you turn up your gains. What model Sony are you running?

My HU is the Sony MEX-70. The HP has no markings. Just says 20hz-5khz. Have the dial set to about 10 o'clock, sounds pretty good just want to make sure before I button this up, for the last time! 😂

I think in the HU setting you can set HPF and cross over setting to 100hz. Makes it easier.

Thanks Fireball. If I would stay off this forum it really
would be the last time. And my house would probably be paid for. I blame haze for it all, he got me started down this damn rabbit hole.

Yes back in the Day Haze and Gann sent me down the rabbit hole. Alex is a great dude and builds some of the best sled audio in the country.
