Just wondering why the MoCo needs three amps and a whole lot of wiring to run 6 speakers. Seems most other options only need one amp.

Hopefully someone who knows Rushmore stuff real well can correct me if I'm wrong, but a dealer explained it to me a while back. Each speaker is a component set, so two channels of an amp are required to drive each speaker. So for each pair of speakers four channels are required to drive them, thus one four channel amp per pair of speakers. If they were good quality speakers and amps then this might be pretty cool, but a lot of folks seem to be disappointed when they go the Boom 2 route.

If we use aftermarket component speakers we can still wind up with one four channel amp per "pair" of speakers, but the aftermarket stuff is more powerful and usually sounds better. Some of the hard core folks here will stuff three amps under their fairing and more in the bags. It all depends on what one wants I guess. For me I am using coaxial speakers and can drive eight speakers well with two four channel amps. It's often a balancing act of how much cargo space we are willing to give up for the additional sound. I have one very large amp that had to go in the saddlebag but I was able to put it on the front facing side of the clutch side bag so it's not too bad.

The MoCo puts the amps in their saddlebags on the back side mounted vertically. This seems pretty cool until that double sided tape gives way. I have actually seen brand new CVOs in dealer showrooms where that tape has given way and the amp has fallen down into the bottom of the saddlebag.

If it were me I'd be tempted to use some of the 3M outdoor rated double sided tape. The thick gray stuff. I have adhered things with that stuff and when I tried to remove it actually ripped off a layer of the wood it was stuck to!

I really think it's because they go out of their way to make sure that none of their stuff is comparable with anything else LOL
