Ahhhh that's why I was confused, I presumed that a HD dealer did that. So, anyone know a RF dealer or indy in the Raleigh, NC area? That may be able to do this? I'm simply asking, is this a MUCH better flash than anything HD can give?
You will not get that flash from a Harley dealer. Most Rockford dealers are able to do the flash or your local Indy that has the flash tool.
Wondering though. I've been to two dealerships in riding distance the last couple months, and both have RF displays and seem to be a dealer for RF. They seems to "push" RF as an upgrade for customers interested in doing audio upgrades. I've meant to ask them if they are able and doing the RF flash or any other flash for that matter.

If they're pushing RF then they can do the flash as well.
some dealers are carrying the rockford fosgate stuff and can do the flash i think its just dealer preference on which has it not all do my local one in huntington wv does and the next local one doesnt which is baxters harley davidson in bidwell ohio just an fyi the biggest downfall to the rockford flash ive found is the bass is not clear is it useable yes is it great no . Depends on the level of sound quality your after

Some dont care. My local dealer flat out told me they wouldnt do a flash for my hu if installing aftermarket amps/speakers. He pointed me to a local car audio shop that screwed me over big time. And as I assume, if the dealer is an RF rep, then yes i think they do the RF flash, but may not do other flashes.

Dealers typically use their proprietary Digital Technician scan tool for flashes. These scan tools don't have the RF or JM flashes loaded on them.
If the dealer sells/installs either of those aftermarket systems, they would then be using an aftermarket flash tool. Those tools have the aftermarket flashes available and can be loaded.
The Digital Technician can flash any of the stock Harley files. The question becomes, will that particular dealer actually flash it for you if you're not buying their equipment. Some will, some won't. For some, it's directly related to how well you know the service guys or how much beer you bring them.
