I am re-doing my 2017 Road Glide. I have the following speakers. Where would you put 3 sets of them between front fairing, lowers and lids? A SD1200.4, SD 800.4 and a Fosgate 400.4 amp is what I have available to push them. I can Use 2 or maybe all 3? Also feel free to recommend other speaker as replacements for what I have. What I am looking for is crisp /loud with just enough bass to make it happen. I do not want to add 8" or 10" woofers in my bags. 3 set of speakers with plenty of power pushing them is my goal. Thanks
A pair of
6.5 Hertz HCX 165
6.5 PRV 6MR500CF-NDY
6.5 Beyma 6MC200Nd
6.5 Orion HCCA 64N
If I am reading right, you are going to put 6.5's in the lids? I personally would run the hcx's in the fairing, prv's in the lowers for loud and/or the beymas for warmer sound in the lowers if they will fit. off the 1200.4 and a set of 6x9's in the lids. Hertz mpx 690.4 or mmats pa 690 cx in the lids if you are not planning on 8" lids or anything in the bags. The 800.4 will push the lids well as will the rf 400. I would get a dsp to tune it all too.
If you are doing to run 6.5's in the lids, I would put the beymas in the lids and bridge them off the rf or 800.4. That's what I would do.

Yeah, you read that right. I am doing away with the 6x9. I did have Fosgate in the already but took them out this past weekend. Bought a 6.5 bracket to replace the 6x9. Can anyone point in the right direction of the best 6.5 mid bass that will hit somewhere in the mid 50hz. Seems as I will be lacking that mid low frequency with what I have.
You will be hard pressed to find a 6x9 to hit in the 50's let alone ANY 6.5. Hell most 8's wont and only some 10's will hit in the 50's. Again your best bet is to go with a good set of 6x9's in the lids that will get you into the 70hz arena and provide a good SQ in the mids. Good luck.

Have u gotten ur ears on the Diamond coax subs? 6.5 or 6x9?
Not a chance in hell. I haven't gotten my ears on them so just curious if there are any ears that I know that have. They are getting some fairly good reviews though. SPL is prob a concern though.
I will see if I can find some on display locally. If I can find a good 6x9 I will definitely go back to one the thing is which one. LOL
one of the best 6x9 is the hertz mpx 690.4 but they are pricy. The mmats pa690 are a damn good value. I personally have not run the new diamond 6x9 coax sub but have heard good things about them. I do know that the hertz will go right in and the mmats need to be re drilled to mount in the rf kit. Hertz is coming out with a new sv 6x9 that is water resistant and designed for outdoor use. Looks promising.
So i have decided to stay with the 6x9's in the lids. besides the Hertz and MMats, what else is out there with very high RMS and sound good for the lid speakers? thanks
