I have a 2019 roadglide. I had the gts software flashed after installing a rockford fosgate amp. I have great sound with my MMats now and don't want to screw that up. Does anyone know if I update the firmware to get android auto, will GTS have to be reflashed to refix audio curve? I also had the dealer change my setting so I could use carplay without having to get harley's headset wireless adapter etc. Does anyone know if I update firmware if those setting may be changed? I had to twist dealers arm to make changes in 1st place. I really hate that changes cannot be made with a laptop connection and am slave to dealer but god I love my 114. Thanks in advance for any help
When you update firmware my concern is all setting, especially my reflash may be affected. It’s not that one thing has to do with another it has to do with my flash to change my curve amount other things may be a side affect of the update of the firmware. The bike is a year old and 18 months from last update so it is not up to date and android auto is not on it for that reason.
IIRC I updated mine once after the RF Flash and it shouldn't change it. Tell Tale sign is the little amplified speed boost setting to increase volume as you twist the throttle should be completely disabled with the RF Flash and should still be as such after the upgraded software. I too have the microphone disabled to use car play without the whim.

So update your software. Also I just bought a new 2020 a month ago. There is no Android Auto on the hu itself. My phone which is a samsung S10 also didnt have to install AA on the phone. Its already installed.
People are updating firmware in the gts system to get android auto to work on their older bikes with that head unit. I am glad you have it but I do not. The head unit firmware has everything to do with android auto is in there or not. On my unit I get car play only with version m19.18.42.01 of the firmware. What version is your firmware?
Here is the confusing part. Until my RF flash my rf system sounded horrible, after it sounded loud and proud especially with my mmat speakers. The weird thing is my volume still goes up and down with speed if I select that option in the setup. Confusing. I am going to attempt to update my version m19.18.42.01 and hope for the best. If anyone who reads this has anymore insight I sure would appreciate it as I guess I am easily confused

That option when I got my RF Flash done was completely grayed out and not an option anymore. That essentially is amplifying the signal as much as 4x at it's peak which will absolutely wreak havoc on your aftermarket stereo if not careful. I would at least turn it off and not use that option. I'll update to the newest when I get home and verify whether or not it changes the option for me. I'm due anyways regardless.
I know there was a newer Rockford flash when mine was done last October. Maybe that has something to do with it. I can top my volume out with no ill affects. I would have blown mine out for sure by now as I crank it up almost all the way with helmet and earplugs due to some previous mild hearing loss. It’s just loud enough to cut through all of that at 75mph with 2 speakers only. I really appreciate your help.
My audio guy has said that the EQ flash is unaffected by any reset or reflashing of the operating software. It's in non-volatile memory and does not get disturbed.
