Got the MMATS installed
So I got the MMATS installed in the fairing. Using the heat gun was a piece of cake. Those that said it was hard were probably heating the wrong spots. You do not need to heat any fairing splines/stiffeners. I did learn as I went and heated the first one too long, ending up in a hole. Ha ha. But it was still less mess than using a Dremel. Now I'm waiting for the Dynamat to arrive to cover the small area.
Running the power was easy; I used the Stinger kit. It comes with a harness for 4 rear speakers so I routed that, too, while it was open. I don't have any rears but they are on the list.
I'm not walking everyone through the install. There are many threads on here that do that. But I will share a couple pics of the almost-finished product. Everything is routed in these, but you can see the gas tank is still off. And I have some speaker wires to clean up. The table at the front was where I was working setting the gains on the amp. Once the dynamat and the actual RCA cables arrive, I'll button her back up. I ordered a Freedom windshield, too. So that will go on as I reassemble also.

The MMATS sound so much louder and clearer than the stock speakers! And good mid range. But with that improvement you do notice the missing bass. F all of you on here... you warned me this was a rabbit hole and now I'm down it part way. I don't have lowers so I may not be able to pick up any low end. I really don't want to add saddle bag speakers. I like the room.
All in all, I'm happy with the project.
