4 speaker setup
Yea I have old ears, yea im only sending 220 to my yellow baskets in lowers, yea im about the only guy running my whole setup in stereo also. Yea im leaving some power unused by running it in stereo. Would it sound better with more power, not always the case. The more power you send the less frequency range you will have. I can hear the stereo separation at any speed from my front and my lids just not from my bags. You have advised on many post to send 400w to yellow baskets and although it can be done, it wont last long unless it is tuned properly. I will say it again, wont last long if not tuned properly. I have no idea what you have done in the past, what you have run in the past or how much experience you actually have with motorcycle audio. I have seen that you quote Carlos a lot along with others yet I doubt that you have actually have done any of the things you tell others that need to be done. My suggestion to you is, stop telling people what they need to do until you have actually done it. Dont tell people about products until you have run that product including a stinger amp that you talked about in another thread. I see your enthusiasm and will commend you on that but telling people on an open forum to run 400w to yellow baskets just because Carlos says it can be done is just bad advice unless you know how to tune those speakers. Most people come here to ask about audio because they want to learn. The regulars here including myself will not offer ANY advise unless they have run said setup or at least tuned it.
BTW the v6 post was unnecessary and childish.
Ok I will step off my soapbox now.

bad advice telling people they sound great at 200 watts. No they don't. Not at all they sound like every other speaker out there just not as loud
I'm glad we don't think alike
To the OP those yellow baskets will sound good at 200w and will have a fuller range of frequencies than they will at 400w. Not as loud but fuller range and will put out 110 db with that wattage.
I knew it was only a matter of time before his true colors bled through again along with the booze. At "That Dude" I'm no expert here, my system was done for me (professionally) . I can assure you, at 225 each my GZ's scream, and when the bass line hits in Thunderstruck, you can feel it. They shine at 225 each.
It was a little fuller the way they we set. But he didn't like having to turn it up a little more to hear the bump......think its a mental thing. I thought it sounded clean. We will be back on that one tuning and adjusting again this weekend. I wanted to run it thru the RTA and scope to see whats going on along with another flash......... its on the RF flash and wants to see what the 8/2 will do. I going to play with mine this week also and see what happens with going form 300 to 225.
