Default 2017 CVO Limited audio upgrade

Hey guys,
I’d like to upgrade the audio system in my 2017 CVO limited but keep the HU.

Any good suggestions for amps and speakers if I go this route?
should I also get a different HU?

thanks,
RNG

HU will work fine. You'll need to have it flashed to flatten the weird EQ curve harley puts in there.

What kind of budget are you working with for speakers and amp/s?

I don’t really have a budget. I just want the bike to sound clear at highway speeds. Don’t get me wrong I’m not looking for a $10,000.00 competition radio. But, I won’t squabble over a few extra hundred to do it right one time

How many speakers are you replacing? Locations?

Just guessing, but I would plan on $2-3K to "do it right one time". I mean, for this time....

Perfect. Here's a solid system that is easily tunable WITHOUT a flash and has damn near plug n play ability with all the accessories he offers. Check out his website. https://www.cicadaaudio.com/
--Cicada CX65.2 in pods $389
--Cicada CH65.2 in fairing $529
--Cicada DSP125.4D $549
-- Cicada wiring and connectors say $200

Why wouldnt a flash still be needed? Because its a CVO hu? or does the cicada DSP do something to flatten any weird curve built in?

NVM, was just reading the specs on this. It has something built in to account for the EQ curve of the HU.

I will second this suggested system.
I have installed a few of them and you will not be disappointed.
The hardest part of the install on the suggested system is pulling the fairing pods and tank to run the power wires to the battery
