I'm planning on installing a Boom Audio 2 amp and speakers in my 16 Ultra. I've never installed an amp before so here is my question. After I install do I need to do anything else? I read some post that said their unit had to be "flashed" by the dealer.
Thanks
Thats correct, I don't know the proper term, but yes after you install the amp, you'll need it "flashed"/"programmed" for your "new" configuration. I had to on mine too...
How I understood it was, its telling the system to use the new amp, not the head unit... that may be an inaccurate explanation, but you're gonna have to get it programmed.
Some of the other guys here can tell you exactly why and what they are doing when they "flash" it.
