Default Harley iPod module

I bought a box of stuff at the Davenport antique swap meet and this iPod module was in it. It is part number 764576-10. I'm over 66 years old and have no idea what an iPod is, but I lived my whole life just fine without one and have no intertest in one. I know this is not where you list things for sale, but if anyone knows what this does and if it has any value, I would appreciate the info and maybe I'll list it for sale in the audio classifieds section. THANKS.

Interesting - guy just like you have this on ebay saying he took it out of as 2011 that he purchased. This guy is over 66 years old too. Also, he doesn't know what an IPod is.

What a coincidence - this guy has it for $35. You might know him - because he also lives in Iowa (big pace I know - but, it is possible)

Difference is this guy took it out of a bike whereas you purchased it at a swap meet.

Harley Davidson Harman Kardon iPod Interface Module Kit 76476-10 and module 72647-11. I removed it from a used 2011 Harley dresser I bought and replaced the stereo with a Sony Stereo. I'm over 66 years old and don't really know what it is or does. I don't even know what an IPod is. BUT IT IS MADE IN USA. It has the wiring and the instructions.

Yes, I did list it on eBay for $35. but I truly still don't know what it or an iPod is, but a friend said it should be worth much more than $35. So, I thought someone here could tell me more about it. THANKS.

OK - that solves my riddle. You took it out of the bike or you purchased it as parts.

Regardless, in my opinion, this thing is worthless. Noone uses the IPod interface anymore. If they still have an IPod, they simply plug it into the mini-pin connector.

In my earleir bike (2004), I had the Harley MP3 player, just had the line run and plugged it in. When the IPod came alone, I unplugged the MP3 and plugged in the IPod, no interface.

Good luck regardless.

WOW. Thanks Uncle Larry. I had no idea it would cost over $400. But it is "-11" which means it came out over 10 years ago and is old technology. Is something like this still usable and desirable today in 2023?

Well, the truth is the guy at thew swap meet said the parts in the box I bought came from a 2012 dresser. I bought the box to get the passing lights that were in it.

No pretty much worthless at this point. That style radio has been gone awhile. Many that have the old bikes replaced them with aftermarket ones.
The IPOD craze for bikes did not fly. it took off and went down in flames.

If you want to make money flipping HD parts. Buy up all the stock headers and mufflers you can find the cash for store them a few years. Once EPA comes around again they will be worth as much a gold.
