Harley Dealer installed Harley WHIM into 2023 Road Glide Standard. Also using the recommended Harley FREECOM 2X in helmet. After IPhone and Headset connected to GTS Boom Box system, all functions work well except constant static noise in background (speaker or headset). Dealer replaced the WHIM with another new one but still having same static noise issues. When the headset is connected directly to my phone (not routing through Boom Box), the sound is excellent without any static. The static noise is constant when bike is running or in Accessory mode. Anyone having similar issue or any ideas for a fix. The dealership service department doesn’t know what’s happening and Harley Customer Service just tells me to see the dealership for fix.
The one they sold you won't work. If you look at the description of it on the HD website you see that it states ---
Designed for use with Skyline OS infotainment systems. Not optimized for WHIM use for models equipped with GT/GTS Radios.
The only bluetooth headset that works properly is one of the SENA style, Harley branded headsets. But, they don't sell them anymore. Try and find a used one. Maybe eBay or Facebook Marketplace.

Good luck.
Thanks much for the info. I’ll look for a set online. The set I bought was recommended by the dealership. I did try the headphones on a 2024 Road Glide CVO which has the WHIM already installed from the factory and they worked fine. Hope I can find the SENA.
Cheers

That's because the Road Glide CVO has the Skyline radio installed. I don't believe the Skyline can use the WHIM.
In my opinion, the dealer should have known better - recommending something that would not work with your bike. You should consider asking for a refund.
