Default Cutting speaker pods

Getting ready to install a set of GZ yellow baskets in my Road Glide. Is there a template available to make the cuts? I found one on the Soundz website but it doesn’t print out to the correct size. Wanting to keep the holes as small as possible and not look like a rabid bagger did it. Thanks!

Heat the pods with a heat gun where the magnet is touching the pod. Push the speaker into the pod to form around the magnet. No cutting needed. I used this method more than I can remember how many I have done.

I’d trace the grille itself instead of messing with templates. Tape it on, mark the inside edge with a fine tip, then cut just inside that line. Gives you a clean fit without extra gap to cover.

Bass-M, I think you misunderstand what I was referring to. This is fitting the speaker inside the pod. The size of the magnet requires the pod to be cut. I will be using the stock speaker grills.

The pod does not need to be cut for the magnet to fit. As mentioned, you heat the pod up where the magnet goes with a heat gun and you push in the speaker, the magnet will mold the hot plastic around it. Heat, push, heat, push. Usually takes a couple/few times to get it just right. You do you tho...

Babyboy, you steered me right when I did my last bike so I see no need to go against your advice. Heating up the pod it shall be! Thank you!

I wouldn't point someone in the wrong direction. Just take your time and do multiple heats on the pods if the speaker doesn't go in the first time.
