Default ?? for JMJohn

John,

I've read the comical drama in the other post, but now havequestion you should know. I have not removed the fairing on my 06 Road Glide in a while ... what size are the 2-ohm factory speakers? Are they 5" or 5.25"?

Thanks

Deathwind ,,,,,,

I am not sure that I can define an exact size ,,,, like you would do with a standard sized automotive type speaker ,,,,,,

"IF" the mounting hole pattern of the speakers for your Road Glideare the same as some specific automotive speaker ,,,, I don't know about it ,,,,,,

what I "DO" know is that the speaker we have made for your bike is an EXACT sized replacement, from the mounting holes all the way down to the electrical spade connectors that match the stock wiring harness ,,,,,,

I have pasted the photos of them below from our website ,,,, and you can e-mail me for more detailed information ,,,, john@jmcorp.com ,,

Thanks.Just found the answer at an online store. The speakers are 5.25". The big difference I seeis the mounting tabs used on theHarleyspecific speakers(OEM, J&M, Hawg Wired, and Hog Tunes) versus most of the automotive speakers.

10-4 ,,,, and it is those special mounting tabs that keep the speaker cage and cone from distorting in shape as you tighten up the mounting screws ,,,,,,,
