Default Fairing speakers

I have a 2012 Street Glide, and am thinking about switching out the factory fairing speakers. I've noticed that there are different sizes that people have installed. What size can I install simply by pulling the old ones out and installing the new ones? I don't want to cut anything, or fab up a new mount. Thanks

The different size ones come with adapter mounts.......like the 7.25's from J&M. If you like music, get an amp with the speakers as well.

You purchase speaker adapters $40 to install some 6 1/2 $100. Add an amp for $160 and a few wires and connections and your time. Harley sells the Boom Audio 5 1/4 $125 that sound nice as well.

Good luck with your decision.

I have the JMs that fit the factory holes and they are a nice upgrade if you aren't looking for a huge boost in performance.

I have the J&M 5.25" too and like them. The only thing I don't like is there's no chrome trim available for them.

I put the book audio speakers in my 2012 SG and love em. People who ride behind me always say they can hear my radio clear as day. I did not get an amp either.

I have Rockford Fosgate 6.5's an RF 300 amp. Not bad sound. My advice if ur gona do an amp I'd go up to a 6.5. If not I'd stay with 5.25. I had a pr of JBL 5.25s with no amp for about a yr. Sound'd pretty good. Then a couple buddies of mine got those Boom Audio 5.25. I was very Impressed. They are the best bang for the buck. To be honest if I hadnit over to do again Id prally jus do them instead of my set up. I never listen to it that loud anyways.
