A friend of mine is upgrading his audio. adding speaker lids I think. He has a mini amp I can have. I think its a arc or bikertronics. the amp is a 2 channel one. I currently have a reckless fairing with 4 5 inch speakers. my question is can I run all 4 speakers with the one amp? If not what would be the best way to wire it up? also what would be the best way to make the amp power and neg wire be detachable as I sometimes take the fairing off.
Thanks *****
I'm new at this sound stuff but work at a custom bike shop that does sound in baggers. 2 ch will only power 2 speakers. I just put a 2 ch hogtunes Roadglide kit with speakers. I want to add 2 more speakers and that will take another 2 ch amp or switch to a 4 channel. Either Bag lids or find space inside the fairing with round speakers for the add on speakers. I also want to add a powered subwoofer - maybe Bazooka in the rear bag.
Wouldn't the strength of the amp dictate that ability to run multiple speakers.
or should I say the ability to run them well. Motorcycles are limited in amp size and placement. I juts got a JBL 400w marine for my boat and I didn't check the dimensions. It was huge but I had the room.
My RG doesn't have that space above the radio like a batwing. You can hang amps off the side but small amps.
At the shop we put a 10" SW in the side bag of a Vaquero like you did.
I read your moron's post - very nice and interesting. Makes me feel better about my lack of intelligence on the subject.
