What happens when you hit the mode select now?

Do you still have volume control?

Do the faceplate buttons still work?

When I push the mode select now the radio stays on WB and I do have volume control. The faceplate buttons do not work. I can inject the CD and reinstall but nothing changes, still on WB. I can move from WB1 thru WM7.

Clarify please.
You say your faceplate buttons don't work, but you can eject the CD??.
Is it just the preset buttons not responding?
can you turn the unit on/off?

I can eject and restall CD but the CD would not play, just the WB.
I could turn the unit on and off.
Now for the rest--- I disconnected the battery , reconnect it and the unit is now working better. The radio will play, the up and down on the mode select buttom work. If I put in a CD it will play, but the CD only. If I push the mode select buttom nothing happen, it will not switch to radio or WB. Do I have a bad mode select button?

Thanks for the help.
