I too bought the Reckless with the four 5 inch speakers and found it was not what I wanted. So I removed the fairing and fiberglassed the speaker cutouts and recut for two 6x9s, more better now. I have a KEnwood head unit and Clarion 6x9s. Some time in the future I will add an amp, but it does good on the road. i can go 70-80 and hear it fine now.

so many talents so little time! :-) Nice work there freedub2003... got some pics of that?
check out this link. This guy did exactly what you're trying to do (even running the same amp) but with a tad bit larger speaker. The Polk DB521 speakers are a good speaker also.
Very nice.. I've got a 73 tbird.. can I send it over for a little body work? :-)
I'll mess with with my own junk, but I would not do that to someone else.
It's that bad really, I just followed the directions on the can and it turned out good for a home job.
