Hi
I just installed my full new stereo
Sony 310 HU 4 polk speakers one 22 amp
Took it for my first long ride tonight had the ipod loaded inside the head unit. After about half hour the ipod kept cutting out. When I went throught the controls on th hu it said no device attached. I hope it is not a defect. I just went out to the garage and tried it again and it is working fine. Please help if you can.
Thanks
Check where the plug plugs In for corrosion the least little bit will make it do crazy things my I phone did it. And the moisture just come from me sweating through my pocket. Just an option to check unlikely but it can happen.
I have the same radio and same problem from time to time. When it happens I press the source button until I get internal USB and then the iPod will read and play again. Doesn't happen all the time.
hmm.. 2+ years now with the DSX 310 and always use iPod, nothing else.. never had this issue. If the head unit is saying no device attached, that means it doesn't see it which leads me to believe you have a connection problem. Check that the USB connection on the adapter is nice and tight. USB is notorious for causing issues like this and it usually only takes a pair of pliers to squeeze the USB plug together ever so slightly.
