Default Which head unit?

I'm looking to replace the stock head unit with an aftermarket one. What are my options? I want it have a cd player and it has to be somewhat weather resistant. It rains a lot in Florida. Mostly right after I wash my bike. My stock hu likes to skip when I'm cruising down the highway. So hopefully one that won't skip so bad. Any help or insight is appreciated. Thanks Mike.

Also is there an adapter that will allow the handlebar controls to still work.

your options are pretty much unlimited sir for an aftermarket head unit.

Question for you though since you didn't mention it and it's not in your signature:

What year bike is it? I ask this because some of the batwings had issues with the vertical fairing brackets breaking. So this may be something you need to check. These stock head units for the most part are pretty reliable units. If playing a burned CD though, you see those comments all the time about skipping..

It's a 2007 street glide.

i would check those fairing brackets. This is the year they primarily had issues with the brackets breaking. I believe it was late 07 (for the 08 releases) that the brackets were re-designed.

I used the Ragan Fab Works kit to repair the brackets on my '07. They're a great preventative measure as well and they work like a charm!
