I'm toyin with the idea of installing a flip up DVD player in place of my stock head unit. Has anyone used one on a street glide? I'm wondering if the way the head unit is recessed into the inner fairing will it interfere with the screens travel path?
im about to install a Pioneer AVH-P5900DVD in mine and found that if you do a flip up cover wont work so you have to use one of these http://www.biketronics.com/products/BT-Splashcover.html. just find the one you need. it just pulls off and pushes on squeeze fit no velcro or sticky stuff needed.
They are big 8.5 inch screens compared to 7 inch on the rest of the single din but they kinda sucked and rain killed 2 of mine.
Taking mine out and going back to a Sony to retain my thumb switches!!!
I know kenwood makes a better unit...did anyone have any issues w it being finicky? Vibration and closing due to bvirbrations?
