Amazon.com: Infinity Reference 1031t 1-Inch, High-Performance 150-Watt Textile-Dome Tweeter (Pair): Car Electronics Amazon.com: Infinity Reference 1031t 1-Inch, High-Performance 150-Watt Textile-Dome Tweeter (Pair): Car Electronics

stumbled across these.. seem like a better fit for the system.. just unsure what size the ones in the hog pod are.

That's a good idea Drew!!
I have the Hog pod too.
It's ok.....but could be better for the high's I think?
You could also just scrap the Hog Pod and put them in place of the gauges by the radio.

I had the HT speaks in my fairing too and thought that they were over-rated as well and no longer have them. I have Kickers in their place and they are better for high end too. I have the little HT Amp, and it's ok.

Only problem is the holes that are left from the hogpod.

Yes, when I replaced my fairing speakers with HAT Unity component 6.5's i had a buddy install the tweeters in the Hog Pod after I removed the HT tweeters. Works great.

Suggestion: Measure the HT tweeters diameter and buy a similar size tweeter separately, or components that include a tweeter of similar size.

Finally had some time and tore into the fairing again.. Wrapped the speakers with some polyfil and tore apart the hogpod....

Looks like the tweeters are 1 1/2 inches would be an easy swap due to a crossover already mounted in the pod..

I will keep y'all updated if I decide to swap out the tweets..

In my case, I bought component speakers and chose to use those crossovers, and discarded the HT crossovers.
