I have 2 Ipod classics older ones 6 or 7 years old one 120 gb and the other a 160 gb have the latest updates and restored them with apples help which they wouldn't do till they helped me thru it. I have the Sony tune tray and the Ipods will stop playing the songs and skip thru 4 5 6 songs then start playing again, the title of the song is there just no sound it varies different amount of time it starts happening. The radio works when this does happen, I know its not the radio I swapped it out with a new one. Sometimes on a ride when ignition is turned off then on it will stay on playlist but most of the time not. Any one else have this happen? and correct it or are these two toast

I have the same exact issue. I can't repeat the issue in my car. And since it used to happen prior to tune tray when I had it mounted on my bars Id have to assume its a hard drive issue. Glad others don't experience it but it sucks a$$. I ended up going 30 GB USB flash but its just not the same. Cheap alternative though.
Its not a skip its just quits playing and then will show the next song for a few seconds till it stops after 5 or 6 songs then it might play or not which I have to switch it off to restart. The connections are clean on the plugs since it is a new unit, the ipods are old and I do have a lot of vibration from the big cam. They work fine in our cages and when the bike isnt runnig. I think I will try a nano. Thanks iron cross
I switched to the nano and it doesn't do this anymore my complaint now is it wont stay on my playlist when on and off at stops also did it with the classic seems no pattern, does it when ever but not all the time?
I am having the same issue with my Nano. I set it for a particular playlist and everything works well, until I restart the bike and it jumps back to the master list. Anyone have a remedy for this?
