I am upgrading the audio on my '13 Ultra. I have tried to do as much research as possible . I was going to go with Polk Audio in the fairing and a Hogtunes tweeter bar powered by a RF PBR amp. However, the reviews on the Biketronics are outstanding. If I spent the extra money on the Biketronics, would there be a need for the tweeter bar?
I plan on using my stock HK head unit for now. This is my first bike system and all advice is appreciated. Would I be better off to use the Biketronics amp or 2 RF PBR 300x2, or a single RF PBR300x4?

Are you only upgrading the fairing speakers? Do you have any future plans to do lids or lowers?
Planning ahead and spending a little more now will save a lot of time and money in the long run.

Pioneer is right. If your going to go further with this plan ahead now. If you're only going to do 2 speakers then the PBR will be fine. If you're going to do 4 or more I'd get the BT4180 amp. Its an insane amp. I have it in my limited and it kicks ***. Its small and really powerful. Doesn't effect FM like the Soundstream, and you can easily run two sets of speakers in parallel off each channel. I'd be weary of the PBR 4 channel as some had some issues with it, and Ultra Nutz wasn't that impressed with it overall, and I trust his opinion like gospel. The cheaper 4ch alternative is the soundstream but again it will probably lose your FM.
As of right now, I am upgrading front and rear speakers and adding an amp. I definitely plan to add additional speakers and possibly change the head unit down the road. Sounds like the Biketronics BT4180 is the best bet.
Ordered the BT4180 from Eastern PC. Heard good things about them and I like the idea that they support the forum. Hopefully they come through!! Looking forward to getting started!
