I don't know the answer to your question but you should take a look at HogTunes. I was at the dealer for a seminar on Saturday where the tech was covering the new boom system. I asked him about the best stereo upgrade and he told me he was using Hogtunes. It is about $200 cheaper. I listened to a bike that he had upgraded and it was night and day improvement over the stock system.

I'm pretty sure he was asking about the head unit not the speakers. HogTunes make/supply speakers and amps.

He, ( the tech), just lost all credibility.........2 tin cans and a kite string are better than the stock set-up......so that's not saying much..
Boom &Hog Tunes are better than stock,.......but light years away from the BEST.
Do some reading in the audio forum. You'll learn more in 2 hours, than you did at the Dealer seminar !!
Good luck, and ask lots of questions. We are here to help.
