Default Help!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 2012 street glide with a factory Harman Kardon head unit and amp. question is do i remove that amp to install my new pbr 300x2 amp. ?

It has the Infotainment system on top of the head unit. which is a amp i think

The 2012 regular street glide didn't come with an amp. Your bike didn't come with a CB unit, so it must be the ipod or XM radio module.

Does it look something like one of these?

Here is the part number that was on it HD # 76000071 here is a pic of what it looks like..

OK. Your bike didn't come from the factory like that. When you said "factory head unit and amp", it threw me for a loop.

Somebody added that at some point. If you are sticking with just fairing speakers, yes, you would have to remove it for the pbr300x2. If you are adding lowers or saddlebag speakers, you could leave the HK amp and install the pbr with the Hogtunes 2nd amp bracket.

Yes. Unless you're going to install a second pair of speakers in lowers or rear bags.

i did upgrade my fairing speakers to the polk mm 651 didnt know i had a amp in the bike until know it doesnt pushes them that good so thats why i thought of putting that amp in. what do you think thanks for your help by the way

I would remove the Harley amp and put the pbr300x2 in. At best, the HD amp is only pushing about 40 watts a channel.
