I am wondering if anyone has done a comparison to see if one is better than the other? I am currently Flashed for 1 amp 2 speakers and it sounds great. Wondering if I should change over to a magic box and have the flash put back to the stock flash? I have a magic box and did a quick install with the flash and it sounded like crap, killed the volume.
I did not keep the Magic Box installed because I do not have time to go to the dealer right now. Was hoping to find out if I need to keep this on my to do list. Anyone know if one is better than the other?
I have installed the PBR300x2 and Polk 6.5 speakers and am trying to decide between having the HU flashed (1 amp/2 speakers) or just installing the Magic Box without flash. I read on another one of your posts where you stated that having the HU flashed removes the DSP but also elminates the SVC function. I kinda like the SVC function but right now, the system sounds terrible. So, was wondering if your Speed Volume Control still works correctly with the Magic Box.
If anyone else could also provide info on this, it would be much appreciated.
read on streetglide forum that without the magic box the volume will not increase as you ride. (again i am not an audio expert just do alot of reading ) with the magic box my system is 150% better than just the amp and speakers. DSP still seems to work. I am still playing around with the AP HP and gain to to see if im missing anything.
again i can not speak for how it sounds with a flash. (my dealer was being a pia to get it flashed and i would imagine they would charge me to do it so i assumed pay the money for the magic box and be done with it)
Happy i did bc now it sounds great. so if your going to ask me what you should do i would say get the magic box and be done with it.
Dealers can really be a PIA when it comes to this stuff unless you are real close with them. I'm not sure if any dealer around me is going to have the patience or the time to tinker with someones aftermarket system.. flash, unflash, magic, box, put it together, take it for a ride, take it back apart, etc...
The couple I talked to just push the BOOM stuff..... That is all they know or they are so brainwashed into telling customers that is all there is...
My main dealer has a SGS with the 4 speaker BOOM setup on the floor and yes it sounds pretty good.....indoors, with a low roof, bike off, for an extra $2,000... no thanks!
Well I like you have my bike flashed, installed a Magic Box and in no way was I leaving it that way. I thought about taking it to get the flash removed but decided to remove the Magic Box. I set my gains and all and I am extremely happy with my current set-up. No more playing around.
Anyone want to purchase a Magic Box???
