Default USB cable adapter?

Hey Guys,

My work bike gets replaced this Monday with a 2014 FLHTP. We are allowed to do "discrete" mods to them, including adding audio, as long as we don't hack into the factory wiring, and and don't have some honking stereo system hanging off of the fairing.

For the last 5 years or so, I've added a couple fairing speakers, a 100 watt mini amp, and tie in my Garmin Zumo 665 for XM and MP3 music. It works well, and I'll be transferring all audio and GPS gear from my mile'd-out 2011 to the 2014.

I took a quick look at the new 2014 FLHTP I'm getting, and found it has the USB cable in the little dash pocket. When I pulled the outer fairing, and traced the other end of the cable, it has a plug on it that is made to tie into the factory infotainment system, which I obviously don't have.

So, do any of you audio gurus know of an adapter cable that would allow me to tie this cable to the amp's RCA jacks? It would be nice if I could use my iPhone for music, as I could stop paying $200 a year to Sirius/XM. It would also be nice to be able to charge my phone during my shift.

I've considered removing the factory cable completely, and using some kind of Apple Lightning to RCA jack connector, if there is such a thing. Opinions, options or other ideas welcome...

TIA

Without the headunit, the most you'll get out of the existing cable is to hack it for charging. Not-inexpensive lightning-to-RCA cables supposedly exist. For XM, they're willing to do $25/5 months that needs to be renewed every 5 months, but you go from $200 on your primary radio down to $60...

Thanks. Googled a little, this may be the answer. You're right, not on the cheap side... http://www.discountcarstereo.com/iS7505.html
