Default Wasaga Beach Bike Rally

Went there yesterday (July 15th), had a great time, recommend you put it on your calendar for next year. The rally is still on today (Sunday), but they're calling for rain, (what else in new).

Any pictures to share with us?
We would also be interested in accommodations as we dont camp.
Could be on the list for next year.

Cheers, Terry

Default No Photos of Wasaga Beach Rally

If I had of taken some, they probably would've been edited out as some of the ladies felt it was to warm to wear much clothing.
Lots of accommodations in Wasaga around beach area 1.

Thanks Douce, but hopefully someone that attended the rally also can share some info and insight on the whole event.
Many ask questions like we would, such as, was it worth attending, was it organized well, etc?
Cheers, Terry

I thought it was a great time. Got there early Saturday morning and watched the bikes roll in. Took a nice ride in the area during the afternoon and then attended the "party" on Saturday evening. The bands were lots of fun, CCR cover band and AC/DC cover band (just caught the end of the first performance so not sure about them). I left Sunday morning before the rain rolled in. All in all, you can tell that this rally is still young (3 years), but I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it is definitely on my schedule for next year. There weren't a lot of vendors, but enough to keep it interesting. The organizers claimed 50,000 bikes were "in the area", but it was certainly no Dover, which is fine with me since the traffic was heavy enough. I think Wasaga has a great thing going, and hope it continues to be successful.
As a side note, ran into a lot of people there from Timmins and Quebec, so the word is definitely getting out!

Thank you loads HarleyBP!
This is exactly what we wanted to hear. We are going to take a bike trip through the area in the next few weeks and check out accommodations, etc.
We considered it this year but decided as a group we would go to "Hogs for Hospice" in Leamington on the Civic holiday weekend.
I believe as you say it will grow in time once the word gets out. It is a really nice area of our great province to visit.
Thanks once again for the detailed update. Always nice to hear from fellow riders.
Ride lots and ride safe!
Cheers, Terry

Rally was great. Weather Saturday perfect! The bands were great!!! The Collingwood ride was unfortunately a total f*** up. Hundreds showed up but the organization left much to be desired. Many pre-registered were either not on the list or their run package was incorrect (e.g. Shirt size) and they had to re-line up in another very long line to register. We gave up and just headed over to Wasaga. I heard that of the hundreds that showed up only
Dozens actually went on the ride.

Thanks Spy11.
That is really sad. Almost sounds like from experience something organized by HOG Canada.
Don't blame you for heading out. We did the same in Kingston at the HOG rally in 2014.
Hopefully the future for them holds some better times. It does sound like a really good venue.

A shame for sure. I went there from Nova Scotia to partake with my Ontario vet mates. Supposed to be a 6 hour veterans run through the Muskokas. Would have been beautiful. Scheduled to start 0830. No way they got off the ground before 1130. They likely made lots of $$ from the number of registrations alone. At least we had the whole day and evening at Wasaga.
