Default Carb mileage

Here is my question...i have my cv running what i think is great,,but,,LOL..i am getting 35mpg...(this is an 01 dwg)...i have a 180/48 jets..float bowl is set to spec..now i am looking to possibly get a bit better gas mileage..i am pretty easy on throttle..as the gas mileage at 35,is slower speed..60ish-range..should i just adjust fuel/air screw? or change idle jet to say 46 from 48? thanks for any help..

If it's a stock 88"er, yea a 46 should do just fine....

Red face

I'm sure if you and I were to ride the same bike over the same route we'd get different mileage! By all means follow 98's advice above, but chasing mpg is like chasing shadows.....
