Just letting everyone know, that this carburetor came off a 1999 Softail Springer, beautiful bike.. Wish I took a Pic of it..
Anyways, the bike ran flawlessly.. With the condition of the slide, it had no effect on performance.. My friend is very happy.. Thanks for all the help..

Is there the possibility that this will affect the seal on the diaphragm and is this guy going to need a new slide because that part is not serviceable? You'll see the difference in the gaps in the picture that I posted.. The Gap all the way on the inside though seems to be pretty even, it's just the outer edge that supports the rest of the diaphragm.. Thanks...

Heat warped, the slide rails are probably worn and your getting the pulse flutter too, hate saying this but those $12 chicom kits off amazon work pretty well. I have a bunch of CV's I've been reviving and slapping on the shovels, tried a couple of the kits and so far no issues and for the price it was a cheap experiment that paid off.

Just run the sticker number on the carb for the right one.

Well, it doesn't look as bad after a few.
