I have a set of old springer forks.. They have the original brake drum, and shoes, and dog bone risers.. all complete including axle and in pretty good condition, considering how old they must be now..they measure 30" from center of axle to center of top tree..
How can i tell what they are? I believe they came off an old panhead.. Any way i can tell? can't see a serial number..
and if they are original pan type springers .. any idea of the value of em?.. cos seriously thinking of having them sorted and put them on my dyna wideglide!!
First check the fork stem and see if it is 1". If it is 7/8 or 3/4 (I forget which one) then it is off a 45 and not a Big Twin (Panhead). Either way I wouldn't use it on a dyna. If you are looking to put a springer on a dyna I would be looking at a late model springer, IMO.
