Default chain oiler

Do modern drive chains with O rings require constant oiling? If so, what is the correct method of adjusting the built in chain oiler?

Thanks George, do you think I should turn off the original factory chain oiler and use spray chain oil? The factory oiler just sprays engine oil on the chain and it does not stick on the chain and sprays all over the bike. Which way does it turn to shut it off?

I'd shut off the oiler and spray as needed

Modern o ring chains don`t need to be lubed, the stuff cant get in past the o rings. At least that is what the manufacturers say, but I always lube them anyway. I agree with turning off the passenger oiler...

On my Shovelheads I have RK O-ring chains, the oiler shut off and have the Crankcase Breather hose mounted right behind the front sprocket over the bottom chain and it spits enough just to keep it from running dry. One has been on now for 18yrs/10k. I never touch only to adj it.
