Very nice bike but I can't do a hard tail, a lesson learned after spending 9k on a Ridgeback

A friend had one, not sure what model or year, but it was a gorgeous black, tiny little brown leather seat, small gas tank, but it ran just fine and the fit and finish was amazing. It was good for around town, but not stop and go traffic. It would overheat. He had to take turns with a wide arc as it didn't like to turn tight. ,He ended up selling it on consignment at the IH dealer, not sure how he made out.

I find that the rigid rides very well. I think the long wheelbase helps smooth out the bumps, and lowering the rear tire pressure helps. My wife doesn't even mind the ride, even though she's very familiar with the ride of my Street Glide. But you're right, every once in a while you hit a bump that reminds you it's a hard tail. lol

Big Dog has a lot of proprietary parts that are unique, but Ironhorse uses mostly common parts easy to find, and most of their original vendors are still in business. S&S, Daytec, ThunderHeart, etc...
