Default Hardtail Frames off Ebay ???

I just put some money on an ironhead sportster motor so now I'm commited to building a bike. I've been looking at frames on the bay and have pretty much narrowed it down to Paughco or Carolina Customs. Anybody have experience, good or bad with either one? This will be a first build so any advice will be very much appreciated.

My suggestion,

Get a titled Haley frame, or at least use the head tube with the VIN#'s with a clear title. You avoid issues with the DMV and you can insure as a Harley versus a Custom build. take your custom frame, chop off the head tube and weld the harley tube on.

You can buy a Ironhead frame with a clear title for a good price on eBay, and then buy a weld on hardtail kit (Led Sled customs makes a nice one ).....just ensure that the frame is put into a "buck" or make other preparations so that the frame stays straight.

Not sure, but I have been told that Paughco frames require quite a bit of shimming as the motor mounts are not "spot on".

I have also seen guys use an evo sporty frame and weld in Ironhead motor mounts.
