I have a brand new Run Harness Controller. let me know if you are interested.

Since there are a few LSC guys in this thread now, let me also say I have both short and tall Ironhorse sissybars, chrome rear fender struts with the sissybar provisions (in case you have an early 05 model that didn't have the provisions), and the factory frame jig tool to drill/tap the rear axle block for the sissybar mounts (later models came with the holes drilled/tapped and have 2 bolts in the top of the axle block on each side).

man I had the same intermittent type issues with the stock SS ignition module 3 times and finally junked it on my 111" with a dyna 2k and the motor runs 100% better. I have pipes that hug the nose cone and Im sure that doesnt help but the dyna ign module has run like a champ for 2 yrs now with no complaints. If your cutting in and out like that with full power and not gradual it really makes me think its ignition or sensor based rather than fuel.

American Ironhorse did not use the S&S ignition system. They use an ignition system made by Gill.

dlscott100, I replaced the crank sensor first, no luck. Then I went for the RHC controller, no luck. Then I went to the igniter, no luck. I checked the coils, coil wires and still no luck. I ended up ripping out and rewiring the entire motorcycle with a new ignition system, old school. That alone was about $1,000.00.

E-mail me with your location and we can discuss my helping you with some things.

Default Ignition issue

I have a 07 Slammer with what seems to be a similar or same issue. When I get on the gas the bike sputters or coughs. It occasionally also does this while a cruising speed. If I gradually increase the gas - it doesn't seem to occur. I took it to a shop and they had it for a month. They cleared a bunch of crap off the ecm, changed the TPS and Crank position sensor. It seemed to have solved the problem. Then about 5 months later - same issue.

Now they have had my bike for almost 3 mos changed TPS, sent ECM to thunderheart for test - it tests out fine. But still gives TPS error code when back on my bike.

Any thoughts/suggestions? I am at my wits end...

my buddy had the same problem with his texas chopper. we pulled into a gas station and I found one of his battery connections was loose. I guess when he hit the gas it shifted enough to cause a voltage problem. I've seen loose battery connections cause these problems many times. Also make sure the positive terminal is not shorting on the frame/oil tank mount.

Default 2006 tx.chopper

Got a tx. chopper that cuts off at cruising speed like you turned the key off, if you flip the kill switch off and on its as if nothing happened. But than there are times she just comes to a stop and has to take a little 10 min.or so break till she will start again. Love that Gill ignition.
