Default blowers

So is a cheap small electric leaf blower just as good as the factory made motorcycle blowers? I need to buy something but just not sure what works best. I have a weedeater brand gas leaf blower (which is quite large) and was very uncomfortable using it around my bike. Been leaning towards the Air Forced Blaster or the Sidekick Blaster. What do you all use and like the best.

Thanks, Don (boxcar)

I use a gas blower. I probably need something else, but that's all I have for now.

Yes I know a lot of bikers dry their bikes off with leaf blowers. I used one for years till I bought a blower off of Ebay, the blower I bought is actually for pet grooming made to blow dry dogs but turns out to be the same as the ones made to dry bikes but at a cheaper price. Go figure

I use the shop vac, it pushes more air than the leaf blower and its easier the move around as its on rollers.

I just bought the high output Master Blaster, I am amazed at how quickly it works and how hot the air gets for drying the bike. I am secure knowing there is a filter element instead of the leaf blowers that will blow anything and everything onto your bike. It was expensive but I believe you get what you pay for..........

the answer to your question is yes..you can use a cheaper version of the professional blowers.

always use an electric one as gas does produce dust!!!!! and you shouldnt smoke around a gas blower!!

in using an electric on make sure you have the proper amp cord or you'll fry the blower!!

the professional advantage to the better blowers is they're heated to 14* ABOVE ambiant temp. allowing you to dry in half the time, but they run about $200 compared to a black and decker or toro @ $50.

I have professionally used both and have been successful...altho I endeavor to replace back to the more professional one.

a positive on the electric is they are very light weight you only use the actual body of the blower...( have many extention tubes I could sell brand new...!! haha

I have purchased several blowers at a time for bike wash events with my crews and they have made me very successful in the north half of my state

I have a Weedeater brand blower, but haven't ever used it on my bike. I tend to use either a spot free rinse, such as the Mr. Clean Auto Dry, or I use my air compressor.

I am really particular about detailing our scoot, and the best thing that I have found to use is an air compressor. I have two different nozzles, one that has a larger output and a smaller one that I can squeeze into smaller places. I couldn't ask for anything better.
