Rust Removal

I live in the panhandle of Florida and I'm starting to get small rust spots on the chrome. Any suggestions on rust removal/preventable?

Bike is a 2007 Fatboy and is garage kept

I use tin foil with a little bit of polishing wax. Then I’ll spray some S100 chrome protectant.

Aluminum foil and water to remove.

I had some rust spots on my F150 bumper, from a tip I heard use a little ball of tin foil wet with Coke (the soda kind).
Works like a charm.

Never tried the tin foil trick. always used 4"ought" (0000) steel wool. just make sure it's chrome. will mark cheap tins

If you can remove the part and soak it, check out "oxalic acid". Lots of videos on it. Otherwise I do the same as previously mentioned, aluminum foil, mothers mag wheel polish, then a good coat of wax when happy with how the part looks. Keep the wax on it on a regular basis.

Not knowing what is best, sometimes I use the synthetic types of wax, sometimes I use conventional carnauba type waxes.
