Default question about glaze

I am going to attempt to repair a couple of chips in my tank. I have a few coats of glaze on the tank which is also in the chips. What should I use to remove the glaze before I repair it ? Thanks...

Mix some Dawn Dishwashing Detergent with water. Dishwashing detergent removes all waxes and silicones from paint finishes. Will not harm paint in the least, just removes all the accumulated waxes and glazes from the paint finish.

Use a 50/50 mix of water and ISO Alcohol...this will remove everything down to the paint. Dawn may or may not remove wax and its not that effective on sealants.
